In 2014, Royal Mail announced plans to relocate its Nine Elms delivery office to a new site approximately two-thirds of a mile from the existing site in Vauxhall.
Following a competitive two-stage tender, VolkerFitzpatrick has been appointed by Royal Mail to design and build the new delivery office and vehicle workshop.
The work will involve the demolition of existing buildings before constructing a 55,000 sq ft delivery office which is designed to be of BREEAM Excellent standard. In addition, a 67,000 sq ft multi-storey car park will be constructed.

Construction is due to begin next month and reach completion by May 2017.
