A new skyscraper is to be built in Cardiff, enabling the city to regain the title of home of the tallest building in Wales.
The 433 ft high tower will be built in the city centre and dwarf the current tallest welsh building, the 351 ft Meridian Tower in Swansea.
It will have room on 42 floors to house 450 students, with a ground floor cafe and shop, plus a sky lounge for public hire.
The new tower is located a short walk from the University of South Wales campus on Sandon Street, as well as the city's railway station and other city centre amenities and attractions.
As well as being the tallest building in Wales, it will set a new record as the tallest student accommodation building in Britain, breaking a record set as recently as 2012 when the 348 ft Student Castle was completed on Wakefield Street in central Manchester.
