A Northern Ireland firm has won a contract for the fitting out of the new restaurants on luxury Liner the Queen Mary 2.
Carrickfergus-based McCue Marine has won the contract from Cunard for the £1 million job of fitting out the liner, with work taking place in a dry dock in Hamburg between May 27th and June 21st.
The work will involve the Queen's Grill and Princess Grill restaurants, plus the Queen's Grill Lounge.
In addition, the Todd English Restaurant will be transformed into the Verandah Restaurant.
Business development manager for McCue Stephen Mills said: £We will be involved in fitting out some of the most prestigious public areas on the vessel.
"This contract is a very big win for us, and testament to our previous work in the fit out industry."
McCue expanded into the marine sector in 2014 after establishing itself as one of the leading fitting out firms in Ulster.
The 76,000 tonne Queen Mary 2 was launched in 2003 after being built in France, and was the longest passenger ship in the world at the time.
