Buckingham Group Contracting has been appointed the main building firm to carry out the £30 million redevelopment of Town Square in Stratford-on-Avon.
The company has been appointed by UK & European Investments, with the square set to be renamed Bell Court.
Among the new developments are 70,000 sq ft of retail, restaurant and leisure space, including a 12,000 sq ft cinema complex, which will act as the leading aspect of the development.
Buckingham will carry out demolition of the existing buildings before commencing building work.
Asset management director at UK & European Investments John Stacey said: "Following planning approval at the end of 2015, we are now in a position where we can move forward with delivering Bell Court."
He added that hoardings will go up this month, with demolition work commencing at the start of February.
Managing director of building for the Buckingham Group Colin Llewellyn said the new development will "benefit both local residents and visitors to the area."
