Hundreds of construction and fitting out jobs will be created in Leeds by the redevelopment of the Headingley cricket and rugby ground.
The plans, which go on public display this month ahead of a final planning application, will centre on a new double-sided to replace the existing structure.
One side of the stand faces the rugby pitch and the other the cricket field, with this section the latest to be redeveloped following the building of new stands at both venues.
The funding will be split between the rugby league side Leeds Rhinos, union side Yorkshire Carnegie and Yorkshire County Cricket Club, with the aim being to build the new stand with its increased capacity and state-of-the art facilities in time for the 2019 Cricket World Cup.
In addition, the south stand at the rugby ground will also be rebuilt.
Previous developments at Headingley have included a new East stand at the rugby ground, while the cricket venue has been almost entirely redeveloped since the turn of the Millennium, in keeping with other international venues across England.
