Eque2 is delighted to welcome Seaward Properties (Seaward) as a new customer. Seaward have chosen to implement Construct for Sage 50 and EValuate, the construction-specific, industry leading contract management and estimating software solutions. Construct is a contract costing tool designed to work with Sage Accounts to provide better visibility and management of individual projects. EValuate is a dedicated estimating solution designed to streamline the process of estimating and tendering. Both Construct and EValuate work together so a project can be managed from the initial bid, through post-contract to final accounts.
Seaward are a residential and commercial property developer, based in Chichester, West Sussex. Established in 1972, Seaward have established a reputation for the highest standard of work within the south of England, having built over 1,600 properties.
Seaward have previously employed a main contractor to undertake its building developments, but it has decided that on its latest residential development to bring the main contractor responsibility in-house. Richard Potts, Managing Director and Ross Christie, Financial Director at Seaward therefore wanted to find a construction-specific system which allowed them to manage individual projects and gain better visibility and control of the full project lifecycle.
Construct for Sage 50 will allow Seaward to collate and share project information from one central place rather than the traditional method where different people hold different bits of information on their individual laptops or notepads.
As Seaward were already running Sage 50 Accounts, Eque2’s Construct for Sage 50 system allows Ross and his team to hit the ground running. Using Construct with EValuate estimating allows Seaward to reduce their reliance on manual spreadsheets, allowing for faster and more accurate estimating right through to the on-going management of the project.
