Construction firm Barnfield has begun work on Burnley's new training ground after sealing a deal with the club to sponsor the new complex.
The £10.6 million facility, based in Padiham, will take around a year to complete.
Commenting on the deal, stadium and operations manager for Burnley Doug Metcalfe said: "It's great news to finally be on site and we can start to see some progress, as it has been a long time in the making."
Managing director of Barnfield Tim Webber said that as a Burnley-based company itself, the firm likes to invest in local enterprises and causes.
The training ground will be an important investment for the club as it seeks to return to the Premier league, after twice spending one-year spells in the top flight in recent seasons.
Burnley have twice been champions of England, winning the Football league in 1921 and 1960.
