Transport for London (TfL) has named 13 partners that will work on it in a series of schemes to develop surplus land around the capital over the next decade.
It has chosen companies such as Barratt, Balfour Beatty and Redrow Homes to work on £3.6 billion worth of projects that will provide hundreds of jobs and lead to the construction of thousands of new homes.
Planning applications have already been submitted for three sites, at Nine Elms, Northwood and Parsons Green, with 600 new homes being built alongside new commercial, catering and public facilities.
The developments at the three sites will help raise around £100 million, which TfL will use to fund new transport developments.
Some of the money will go into new services that will benefit these developments, such as a new Tube station at Northwood and the extension of the Northern
Line to the Nine Elms redevelopment area.
