The Challenge
Due to the growing demand for remote working, and the desire for a unified solution to manage their service, maintenance, and job costing processes, a decision was made to explore a true cloud-based solution. “Although we are still within 6 months of migrating across, we found immediate improvements when using the system as the tabular access and multi-screen functionality allows users to switch between certain elements of the system without closing-down fields”.
“The swift interaction with Sage accounts is also notable as is the ability to review summary information before postings are made.”.
Craig added, “Invoicing of projects has probably seen the greatest enhancement with the ability for them to be raised from the contracts tab and all users have commented how fluid the billing process now is. We have been very impressed with all facets of Eque2 Construct Cloud from the ease of transition through to contract creation and raising orders etc”.
The Impact and Future Change
Craig explained, “There are certainly many elements that we are yet to fully utilise, but from our initial experiences we are confident that all aspects of the Eque2 Construct Cloud will serve us well as the business continues to grow and move forward”.
The next phase of their transition will be full adoption of Eque2’s Service Stream solution to manage the end-to-end processes of their planned and reactive service, maintenance, and small works projects. Service Stream will drive further efficiencies and advantages by enabling them to fully automate all associated manual activities such as work scheduling, job costing, resource allocation, and progress reporting”.
Craig added, “This improvement in time-saving efficiencies is only going to improve even further when we're fully up and running with Service Stream as well”.
